Waste management is the process of collecting, transporting, treating, and disposing of waste, while recycling is a key component that involves converting waste materials into new products. Together, these practices are essential for environmental sustainability, as they reduce waste going to landfills, conserve natural resources, and prevent pollution.
HTF was founded to address a simple but urgent problem: the growing volume of PET bottle waste in the UAE and the wider GCC, and the lack of local infrastructure to turn it back into usable, food-safe material. Rather than exporting baled waste for processing elsewhere, we built a fully integrated facility in Fujairah — combining hot washing, extrusion, and decontamination under one roof — so that a bottle collected in the UAE can return to the supply chain as certified rPET, without ever leaving the region.
Nearly two decades on, that facility now processes roughly 1,000 MT of post-consumer bottles every month, supplying flakes and pellets into food packaging, textile, sheet, and industrial markets both regionally and internationally.
